Terms of Service

Agreement

These Terms of Service govern your use of northshorepowersportsmi.com and your purchase of services, parts, accessories, and digital products from North Shore Powersports LLC (“North Shore,” “we,” “us”). By using the site, requesting a quote, approving work, placing an order, or downloading a product, you agree to these Terms, our Refund Policy, and our Privacy Policy. A signed quote, work order, storage agreement, or brokerage agreement controls if it conflicts with these Terms.

Quotes and authorization

Quotes are estimates based on the information you provide and are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. Work begins only after you approve a quote or work order, in writing or by electronic signature. If we find conditions that require additional work or cost, we will contact you for approval before proceeding, except for minor items you have authorized in advance on the work order.

You confirm that you own the boat, personal watercraft, RV, or other item, or are authorized by the owner to approve work on it, and that the information you provide about it is accurate.

Electronic signatures and records

You agree that quotes, work orders, agreements, and notices may be provided, signed, and kept electronically, and that your electronic signature or online acceptance has the same effect as a handwritten signature. You may request a paper copy of any signed document.

Services

Winterization is performed according to the engine and cooling system type you identify. Winterization reduces but cannot eliminate the risk of freeze damage; we are responsible for damage caused by our failure to perform the service with reasonable care, not for conditions outside our control or pre-existing defects.

Shrink wrapping is a seasonal protective cover. Heavy snow, ice, wind, and storms can stress any cover; owners should check covers periodically and report problems promptly.

Mobile services are limited to locations within approximately 15 miles of Pinckney, must be booked in advance, and do not include mechanical repair. You must provide safe, legal access to the item.

Detailing results depend on the item's condition; we do not guarantee removal of all stains, oxidation, or damage.

Sales and brokerage are governed by a separate written agreement. We do not take ownership of consigned items unless that agreement says so.

Storage, pickup, and abandoned property

Outdoor storage is space-only, at your own risk, unless a written storage agreement provides otherwise. You must keep your item insured against theft, weather, fire, and other loss while it is in our care, and remove personal property, valuables, and loose gear before drop-off. We are not responsible for items left aboard.

Items must be picked up within 30 days after we notify you that work is complete or storage has ended. Storage fees continue to accrue until pickup. To the extent permitted by Michigan law, we may hold an item until charges are paid, assert any lien available to us, and treat items left unclaimed after required notice as abandoned.

Parts and accessories

We help identify parts using the information you provide, but you are responsible for confirming fit, compatibility, and correct installation. Some parts ship directly from suppliers or manufacturers; ship dates and stock are estimates. New-old-stock (NOS), vintage, used, and discontinued parts are sold in the condition described and may show age or storage wear. Manufacturer warranties, where offered, are provided by the manufacturer. Returns are handled under our Refund Policy.

Digital products and service manuals

When you buy a downloadable manual or other digital product, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download, view, and print it for your own use and for servicing equipment you own or work on. You may not resell, share, upload, redistribute, or publicly post the file. Manuals are reference material; follow manufacturer safety procedures and use qualified service where appropriate.

Prices, payment, and taxes

Prices are in U.S. dollars and may change before you place an order or approve a quote. Applicable sales tax, shipping, core charges, and environmental or disposal fees are added where they apply. Payment is due when work is completed or when an order is placed unless agreed otherwise. Deposits may be required for special orders, seasonal services, and storage. Online payments are processed by third-party payment providers; we do not store full card numbers.

Website use

Do not misuse the site, attempt unauthorized access, scrape it in bulk, or interfere with its operation. Site content, photos, and branding belong to North Shore or its licensors. Product names and trademarks such as Mercury, MerCruiser, OMC, Johnson, Evinrude, and Volvo Penta belong to their owners and are used only to describe compatibility; we are not affiliated with or endorsed by those manufacturers unless stated.

Disclaimers

Except for any written warranty we provide and warranties that cannot be excluded by law, the site, digital products, and parts are provided “as is,” and we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose to the extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to a service, order, or product is limited to the amount you paid for that service, order, or product, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages such as lost use, lost time, or lost enjoyment. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for our gross negligence or willful misconduct.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Michigan law. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any concern. Any dispute that is not resolved will be brought in the state courts located in Livingston County, Michigan, or in small claims court where eligible, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Changes and contact

We may update these Terms when our services or practices change; the effective date above shows the current version, and the version in effect when you approved a quote or placed an order applies to that transaction.
